Research Activity

HSE University and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) cooperate closely in several areas, RAS institutes playing an active role in the creation of the Faculty of Chemistry. As part of this collaboration, HSE University works with relevant institutes at the Russian Academy of Sciences to ensure that students are provided with the most modern equipment as part of their education. Workshops for chemistry students take place at the Kurnakov Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry (RAS).

The faculty staff, which includes foreign specialists along with leading scientists from the RAS Institutes, participates in the implementation of significant projects, including international ones. The research results have been published in Russian and foreign peer-reviewed journals in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, and testify to the leadership both in Russian science and in the world scientific community.

Research is an essential part of the education at the faculty. Under the guidance of RAS scientists, starting from the first year of education students take steps into science in order to leave their significant mark in the future.
